FAQ: Logging Into Your Account

Getting Started
1. How do I log Into My Account?
  • Go to www.iapd.org.
  • Click on the blue “Login” button in the top-right corner of the homepage.
  • Enter your username and password.
  • Click the blue “Sign In” button.
2. I’m a new user. How do I create an account?
  • Go to www.iapd.org.
  • Click on the blue “Login” button in the top-right corner of the homepage.
  • Click on the “Create a new account” link under the blue “Sign In” button.
  • Fill in the form with your information, then click the blue “Save” button in the lower-right corner of the page.
  • When complete, use your new account information to log in. Please note that there will be a processing delay for accounts created online.
3. How do I know if I have an account?
  • Click on the Forgot Username? link on the login page.
  • Enter your email address.
  • Click on the blue “Submit” button to receive an email with your username information.
  • If you have an account, you will receive an email with your username information.
  • If you don't have an account, navigate to the blue “Login” button in the top-right corner of the homepage. Click on the “Create a new account” link under the blue “Sign In” button. Fill in the form, then click the blue “Save” button in the lower-right corner of the page.
Troubleshooting
1. I forgot my password. What should I do?
  • Click on the “Forgot Password?” link on the login page.
  • Enter your username (most likely your email address).
  • Click the blue “Submit” button to receive an email to reset your password.
  • Follow the prompts in the email to reset your password. Passwords must be at least seven alphanumeric characters, must include at least one alpha character and must include at least one numeric character.
2. I forgot my username. What should I do?
  • Click on the “Forgot Username?” link on the login page.
  • Enter your email address.
  • Click the blue “Submit” button to receive an email with your username information.
3. Why didn’t I receive the password reset/username email?
  • Check your spam/junk folder.
  • Ensure you entered the correct email address.
  • If you still don’t receive the email, contact IAPD at 913-345-1005 for further assistance.
4. I’m locked out of my account. What can I do?
  • This may happen due to multiple incorrect login attempts.
  • Contact support for assistance at [email protected] or 913-345-1005.
5. I see an error message when trying to log in. What does it mean?
  • Invalid Credentials: Double-check your email/username and password.
  • Server Error: Try refreshing the page or come back later.
Managing Your Account
1. Can I change my email or password?
  • Yes. After logging in, click on the “My Account” menu in the top menu bar, near the middle of the page.
  • Update your email or password and save changes.
2. How do I update my profile details?
  • After logging in, click on the “My Account” menu in the top menu bar, near the middle of the page.
  • Edit the fields you wish to update and click “Save”.
