Achieve Greatness in Performance Plastics

Whether you’re already in the performance plastics industry or just curious about it, this session will provide insight into an industry that’s dynamic, exciting and making the world a better place. This session will look at the next 5-25 years in the performance plastics industry, including a look at the available careers and possible career paths for talented college graduates. What will be the biggest opportunities for the industry? What are the threats? How do you position yourself for success? If you’re already in the industry, you’ll gain insight into what to expect in the near future. If you’ve never considered this industry as a viable career path, you’ll want to hear what kind of opportunities are available. Either way, you’ll invest in your success by attending this session.

Why Performance Plastics?

Performance plastics refers to the industrial-grade, engineering plastics that are making airplanes and automobiles lighter and more fuel efficient. They’re making food and beverage processing safer. They’ve brought safe clean drinking water to towns and municipalities for decades. They’re ubiquitous in medical applications, which are helping to reduce infection and increase healing time for patients. Best of all, most performance plastics are recyclable. These are NOT single-use consumer-grade plastics, such as grocery store bags and disposable water bottles.
