What's the single best way to make sure your elected officials know what issues are important to you and your business? By going to Washington, D.C. and meeting with them and/or their staff. That's why all IAPD members are encouraged to attend the IAPD Legislative Fly-In in Washington, DC on April 28-29, 2020. While there, you will have the opportunity to educate your legislators on the advantages of performance plastics, the importance of open competition to our industry and discuss the issues that matter most to your business.
Meeting with Legislators
IAPD handles all the logistics of the fly-in: from pre-event training to on-site reviews of talking points to scheduling meetings with your elected officials and their staff. IAPD staff will ensure that you are prepared for these meetings. During your meetings, you will have the opportunity to show your legislators the economic impact your business is having in their district, educate them on the performance plastics industry and discuss important legislative matters that can make or break your company ... and even the industry.
Who Should Attend?
Any member of IAPD may attend the fly-in. We need IAPD members who are subject matter experts — and are comfortable representing your company and the industry — to talk about the performance plastics industry during the meetings with legislators. Your legislators want to hear from you, their constituents. Plan to attend and let them know what issues are important to you.
