Meeting with Legislators
IAPD and OGR (formerly Ogilvy Government Relations) will handle all the logistics of the fly-in: from pre-event training on IAPD’s legislative agenda and on-site review of talking points, to scheduling meetings with your elected officials and their staff. We will ensure that you are prepared for these meetings.
During your meetings, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate to your legislators the economic impact your business has in their state/district, educate them on the performance plastics industry and discuss important legislative matters that affect your company and the industry.
Who Should Attend?
Any member of IAPD may attend the fly-in. We are seeking IAPD member company leaders and senior management to represent your companies and the industry as subject matter experts during the meetings with legislators. Your legislators want to hear from you, their constituents. We also encourage you to bring with you your high-performing younger future leaders to learn, as the Congressional staff is younger. Training the next generation of leaders in our industry to advocate and create the relationships in Washington, D.C. will ensure our success for years to come.
