FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Craig Saunders, Director of Supplier Relations and Logistics at North American Plastics, To Serve Second Term As IAPD President

OVERLAND PARK, KS - The International Association of Plastics Distribution (IAPD), the international trade association comprised of companies engaged in the distribution and manufacturing of performance plastics, is pleased to announce that a second term has been approved for its president, Craig Saunders. Saunders began his presidency immediately after the 63rd Annual IAPD Convention concluded, on September 26, 2019. Since then, the COVID-19 pandemic has caused IAPD to cancel in-person events and has limited his presidential activity, thus the unanimous agreement to extend his presidency another year.

Saunders has been in the performance plastics industry his entire career, starting out on the manufacturing side of the business. He is now on the distribution side as the director of supplier relations and logistics at North American Plastics. Saunders has served on the IAPD Board of Directors, Executive Committee, Strategy Task Force and Supply Chain Efficiencies Task Force.

Saunders believes in the true value of the trade association: the ability to mobilize resources to solve industry challenges collectively, rather than each company trying to do so on their own. He believes there is tremendous value that involvement can bring to members personally and, most importantly, to their companies.

During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Saunders has been sought after by reporters from numerous news outlets to speak about the important role that the performance plastics industry is taking to keep medical personnel and essential workers safe. He has successfully used this platform to educate new audiences about performance plastics materials and the heroic efforts of IAPD members.
